Isuzu cleans up with an order for Riverside

Lancashire-based Riverside Truck Rental, one of the largest truck and plant rental companies in the UK, has added 16 new Isuzu Forward rigids to its spot rental fleet.

The company operates a rental vehicle fleet of about 2,000 vehicles across the UK, and Isuzu has now become Riverside’s favoured choice at the 7.5-tonne GVW level.

The latest 16 additions to that fleet are all Isuzu Forward N 75.190 (E) rigids, fitted with Geesink RCV compaction bodies and trailer lifts. Riverside specialises in key niche sectors, including refuse and recycling trucks, and the new compaction trucks will be working within the fleet for a five-year period, covering anything from one-day spot hire through to long-term rental all over the UK.

Chris Snelson, fleet and asset director for Riverside Truck Rental, explained the rationale behind the latest acquisitions. “We have operated Isuzu trucks within our fleet for many years now on different applications and we have found that, at 7.5 tonnes, they offer a very impressive payload indeed. We also find that the Easyshift automatic transmission option is a really attractive proposition for our customers.”

“We have also had excellent customer feedback about the performance and reliability of the Isuzus in service, so the decision to increase the number of Isuzu 7.5-tonners in our fleet was a simple one.”
