Thompson Commercials has been appointed a full Isuzu dealer for the Sheffield and South Yorkshire area, Isuzu Truck UK has announced.

Thompson Commercials has been a Isuzu Truck dealer since 2012, covering Humberside, North Yorkshire, Teesside, County Durham and Tyne & Wear.

In addition, the Japanese truck company has signed an agreement with Thompsons for its Grimsby branch to become an official authorised repairer for Isuzu’s trucks.

“Thompson Commercials are a very professional business indeed and our team work really well with their dealer group management team,” said Isuzu Truck UK’s managing director, Pete Murphy.

“We are both very aligned in terms of future plans to drive the business forward. The expansion of their dealer territory into the Sheffield area, as well as providing additional aftermarket support in Grimsby and Lincolnshire, is a natural extension to this successful partnership.”

Thompson Commercials has been operating in the Sheffield area for more than 15 years and provides full sales, service and parts support for the Isuzu Truck brand, through extensive workshop and parts facilities in Sheffield. The company also has a dedicated sales team covering the region, with Isuzu demonstrator vehicles available at various gross vehicle weights and body specifications.
