Schmitz Cargobull UK and Ireland has launched a telematics retrofit programme that can bring its TrailerConnect system to any trailer from any manufacturer.
Until now, the TrailerConnect system – which offers real-time monitoring of temperature, tyre condition, trailer location and security – was only available on their Executive trailers.
It enables operators to transform their trucks into a fleet of ‘smart’ trailers, providing real-time transport data helping to both improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
Fitment will be carried out at any one of Schmitz Cargobull’s specially trained Service Partners across the UK and Ireland. This retrofit will also apply to those operators already using the telematics system on selected assets, enabling them to expand it to the entirety of their fleet.
